Review of Watchmen (2009) by Viktor B — 28 Jul 2013
Sadly this one loses something of the original graphic novel and its point. You can't fit everything into an 163 minute film, but in this case, it suffers in a significant fashion for it. However it is far from a butchery and is overall faithful to the source material.
The atmosphere and acting is excellent and they get many of the more memorable scenes into it. It does manage to capture the darkness of this Alan Moore masterpiece despite it's flaws. How it still stands in the shadow of the original despite being a pretty good film.
