I read the script on this one, and had problems w/the movie that were similar to why I passed on the script.
It was charming, but ultimately pointless, lacking the ingenuity of a Kaufman, Burton, Gondry, etc. to really impart a sense of wackiness and fun.
Instead, it just felt self-consciously quirky (and cheap), the bane of any indie comedy.
