Review of Warm Bodies (2013) by Caitlin N — 27 Jan 2014
I enjoyed this film and felt that it maintained the integrity of the original book by Isaac Marion. It deviated in some parts, but nothing unforgivable. The only thing that I missed was the philosophical undertones of life and humanity prevalent in the book.
Yet, again, nothing too unforgivable. The story was witty and clever, and I appreciated the new spin on the zom-rom-com aspect. However, the most enjoyable part for me was seeing how many Romeo and Juliet references I could find in the film.
Little symbolic gems like that are hidden throughout the entire production, making there a little bit of something for everyone, from the Shakespearean geek to the Action-movie fan.
