All I could say about WARGAMES is that it's a pretty good 80's action/drama/thriller about a young high school computer hacker (Matthew Broderick) who, and without any knowledge, hacks into a U.

S. military supercomputer, originally believing it to be a computer game but almost starts World War III. I heard it was originally directed by Beverly Hills Cop director Martin Brest but was fired after 12 days of shooting because of creative differences and an on-set tiff with the producers of the film.

Several scenes that Brest directed remains in the movie. As for the performances: Broderick as the young hacker David Lightman and Ally Sheedy as the sweet and beautiful Jennifer Mack were good, as have John Wood as Steven Falken and Dabney Coleman as Dr.

John McKittrick. The late great John Hughes saw this movie and would later direct Broderick in Ferris Bueller's Day Off and Sheedy in The Breakfast Club. Barry Corbin's performance as Gen. Jack Beringer was great.

He had some funny moments in the movie as the blue suited, tobacco chewing general. It's interesting for me to watch this film because the technology in the 80's was so different than what we use in today's technology.

WARGAMES is a very entertaining movie to watch, if you like these kinds of movies.
