Review of Warcraft (2016) by Andrew K — 08 Jan 2017
Though not the ultimate game to movie adaptation one could hope for, Warcraft gets more right than wrong. The action is grand, several of the lesser known cast embrace their role, the story takes a very atypical approach to LotR style plot, the directing is top notch, the pacing is lighting fast, and the visuals are truly gorgeous to the point that it puts most modern blockbusters to shame.
It's unfortunate then that some plot points and character development is lost (40 minutes were cut). Had that been fixed, this would've been a cinematic marvel.
