Review of Warcraft (2016) by Ke3Bz — 07 Aug 2016
For those of us who played Warcraft, World of Warcraft or the like, found ourselves giddy at some of the sights and sounds we were able to experience on the big screen, but the movie that surrounded the nostalgia had some serious issues.
Acting had a lot of room to improve as well as pivotal dialogue...weak delivery and uninspired performances made it feel much "cheaper" than I'm sure the bill of production would tout. Some great action and amazing CGI (mostly) kept me into it all the way through, but some very fast moving plot and weird editing caused for a jarring ride through this narrative.
I hope it returns with some more attention to pacing and detail as far as storytelling and structure/acting quality goes, but this wasn't as bad as many will have you believe when it comes to video game movies.
