The mainstream critics were never going to get this film as it's guilty of two cardinal sins in their eyes.
1. Being based on a game.

If you're a fan of the source material this film was great fun. If however you go in with the idea that its stupid you will hate it.
To everyone else, give it a try it is far better than the critics would have you think.
