Review of Warcraft (2016) by Robert D — 25 Jul 2016
Warcraft is basically an OK type of movie. All the flaws within are balanced out by fun action and well done moments. Besides a couple of good scenes and action, Warcraft ends up being overabundant. There are numerous characters that aren't fleshed out and happen to be pretty boring.
Among them is the main actor, who just feels like a boring and average guy. Somehow he can kill any orc - no matter the size - without breaking a sweat. The movie never really found its footing either.
Every few minutes we would go to a new location and it would leave behind characters that we were getting attached to. Another main thing this movie lacks is explanation and motivation. The guardian/wizard guy had an unexplained arc that happened to be a key part of the movie.
Overall the movie is mostly a mess, but it can be enjoyable.
