Loved this movie. Did I think it was CGI galore? Uhh would you rather have practical effects to portray orcs? No. You would not. I think it's a good movie for both casual players and hardcore fans.
Even people who have never heard of the game can enjoy this movie. People need to stop comparing this movie with other game-to-movie disasters. I'm looking at you Mario Bros. It's just a good fantasy film.
