Review of War Room (2015) by Dave R — 14 Oct 2015
When looking and reviewing a faith based movie, I find it a little tough to separate rating the movie vs. rating the message. War Room is directed and written by the same guy who did Courageous and Fireproof, and it's a solid job done here too.
As a Christian I find the message very compelling. Pray to God in earnest for what is most important to you in this life, and God listens. I love this message and it is good for all to see and hear it.
I did find the movie a little heavy handed in putting the message across and it might not strike a chord with everyone. The movie is also a good 20 minutes too long, and you get the feeling it is trying to justify itself by developing a few too many plot lines.
That doesn't change the fact that I totally recommend this movie to all. Despite it's flaws, War Room is something worth seeing.
