Review of War Room (2015) by Kyle B — 05 Jan 2016
Faith based movies like these just don't understand how to make a message a movie. That's actually the problem with most of them because they are out to send a message rather than making a movie and telling a theatrical story.
Plus they pick the most wooden actors of all time to be in these movies plus writing that just doesn't sound like real dialogue. Christians don't talk about prayer 24/7. They talk about books, dinner, what Maggie said the other day, etc.
Just every other sentence is about praying and that doesn't make a compelling movie. I'm giving it 2 stars because at least this one's heart was in the right place and also not racist like God's Not Dead.
