Review of War Room (2015) by Randy D — 07 Sep 2015
This was a good with characters that were realistic. Some have bashed this movie about the quick changes in a small timeline but what more can you do in 2 hours with a realistic plot and no CGI effects? The characters were developed and the flow was good.
It didn't have any lost moments. This film was not meant to proselytize because that would imply that people who have not sought God in their lives would have an aha moment and repent. Even though this film was aimed at Christians it was a fun film with a deeply impacting story about the power of prayer.
If you don't believe in God then fine but don't bash it just because this film has Christian values. Prayer DOES work because if it didn't my son would not be alive today! No doctor could perform the miracle that happened in my family's life.
Believe what you want about marriage but it is work. I am glad God intervened in mine. People need to not be so short sighted. Just remember Jesus died for all of us even while we were sinners. many people even Christians seem to forget that! For all the naysayers and non believers I pray for you all! I give a thumbs up to the Kendrick brothers for having the faith and the courage to continue to develop in their movie making skills.
May God bless them for it. For all of you Christians that can't see the good in this film my grandma used to say " If you can't say anything nice, then keep silent". We have enough negativity in the world as it is.
Maybe we should as just pray!
