Review of War, Inc. (2008) by Nathan X — 07 Jul 2009
To be honest, this is a pretty terrible movie. I like John Cusack in pretty much every movie he's in, but there's really nothing he could do to save this film. In War, Inc., Cusack plays a hit man who becomes confused and discomforted by the direction his life is going.
The film goes out of its way to joke about the future existence of an extremist far right capitalist world ran by big business rather than actual countries. Whats intended to be funny comes out dry and forced.
As a result, the script becomes uninteresting and far fetched. Steer clear of War, Inc. If you like comedic hitman movies and John Cusack, save your breath and go watch Grosse Point Blank.
