Review of War, Inc. (2008) by Jackie B — 01 Oct 2009
3 stars ... I guess. This was an interesting, satirical look (and when I say satirical I mean layer upon layer of satire, sarcasm, and straight up insult) of the US involvement in the Middle East - from conflict, to rebuilding, to attempted control.
I thought it was going to be Grosse Point Blank II - and in many ways, it was - though there was an underlying "message" about the sins of war and the sins of man. A satire, wrapped in a farce, disguised as a movie about an assassin.
All the things that made GPB a good movie are here, amped up (of course) to keep pace with the fast-paced movie genre that has populated the action scene of late.
It was ... interesting.
