Review of War, Inc. (2008) by Firstorderhistorians K — 06 Jan 2010
I kind of just turned this one on when it was on TV thinking I had seen it before and liked it. I was wrong I hadn't seen it before, but I still enjoyed it. The comparisons to other similar Cusack movies like Gross Point Blank are going to be made, but this isn't GPB version 2.
It has a play on capitalism and the war by pointing at the pompous audacity some nations have by blowing up other countries then taking the economic boom of rebuilding the country they just bombed. Cusack is an undercover special agent with some issues and a love interest who despises his line of work.
Classic formula and it still works here. It's not the most amazing movie, but it's work checking out if it's on TV.
