An interesting movie, indeed. Pretty predictable, if you ask me. I know Cusack was trying to make a statement about the war in Iraq and wars being privatized, but I think the film tries to hard to 'make a statement'.

But if you take it at face value and ignore the in-your-face politics, it ends up being a highly entertaining farce. Cusack is awesome in it, as per usual, and a special mention to Hilary Duff, who actually did not make me want to throw up!! She was kind of cheesy, yeah, but she kept up with the accent and actually found some genuine emotion.

I was definitely surprised and impressed, considering how disappointed I was that she was going to be in this movie. I think she's taken some acting lessons since those awful Steve Martin + 1,000 kid movies.
