They were trying to do too much in this film and what they were doing was so blatantly over-the-top it was painful. It borders between dark satire and a Mel Brooks movie, but it fails to join the two in wedding bliss.
A great cast, whose talents are poorly put to use. The potential was there, but it was executed (literally) poorly.
