Review of War, Inc. (2008) by Pendeja V — 23 May 2010

It started out quite ok, but throughout the movie it tries to be original and quirky funny but its just hard to keep up. In the end this poking fun of current affairs movie just fails. John Cusack is a private assassin.

Dan Aykroyd the ex-president has a job for him, to kill a middle east oil magnate. Off he go to Turaqistan for he job, on the cover of a big trade show producer. Joan Cusack is there to assist him. Marisa Tomei is a journalist.

He likes her instantly. Hilary Duff is the local popstar to perform at the show. She has a nasty boyfriend. She comes onto John hard but he can't take it. Ben Kingsley is the viceroy, his former boss.

John first attempt to kill the target fails when the army comes by. The second he tried to put poison in the target's soup also fail. Marisa wants to dig out more stories and John introduce some video crew to her.

She got a sex video of Hilary from them and it made the headline. The damage control John propose is to get an scapegoat and make an interview with Hilary and continue the show. John was ambush in an attack during the interview and he kill them all.

Marisa and Hilary were shock and run away. Marisa was capture by rebels. On the actual day, John leave the show to save her. And they are held up in that war zone and manage to get a car amd escape. John didn't kill the target in the hotel room even though he has the chance.

Marisa is bridesmaid for Hilary. John goes to find the viceroy and smash the screen. There's a room behind and Ben is the viceroy. Wheel-chair bound paralyse from many years ago hurt by John. His wife is kill by him and daughter is gone.

Turns out Hilary is his daughter. He disrupts the wedding and the trio run away. Ben command the missile launch but it malfunction and blows up his hq instead. They escape via the plane of the dead boyfriend.

But can they make it as one missile is shown going towards them...
