Rented the movie because we LOVED the book. Couldn't get past the first 20 minutes of the film. The primary problem for me was the dramatic difference between the written story and the video story.
Horrific 2D acting and cinematography made a bad situation, intolerable. I can't believe this is a Steven Spielberg film.
