Think of the horse, Joey, as Harry Potter. He lives while all the other character's you like die.
But I don't really care for horses, so keep that in consideration.
And I really don't know why people fangirl over Hiddleston and Cumberbatch being in the movie. They're in it for about twenty minutes.
