Review of War Horse (2011) by Ryan K — 20 Jul 2013
Steven Spielberg used to equal classic memorable heart-warming tale. Think E.T especially, and this is the same story that he has plastered on to us for the last 20 years, except this time it's a horse.
His visuals are great, use of lighting and sets portray the power of the Spielberg machine. I have high hopes for Lincoln, because it's a serious piece of art about a significant piece of history, but this is a flop.
The acting was average at best, the different English accents not convincing, and the script not up to par. And at the end of the day, its a horse...
