Review of War Horse (2011) by Mikael F — 28 Jul 2012
This film relies heavily on the time period. Countries torn by war and poverty and having to make hard decisions. Everyone forgets about the First World War and the horrors of men on horseback with swords and rifles going up against machine guns and tanks.
The invention of trench warfare and chemical wafare. A very charming film and a solid acting performance by everyone involved. The grandfather and the little girl is by far one of the most moving and touching stories connected with the horse.
Overall, a very well-done movie.
