War Horse may be Spielberg's worst film. It's his worst in memory for me.
I was expecting a more powerful film with much more sophistication. War Horse was about as predictable as they come with a story reminiscent of an old Disney movie. Lassie come home of horse movies with a plot that was insultingly stupid, a predictable sugary sweet ending and characters who were so silly it was painful to watch at times.
Watching War Horse was like watching a mish-mash of old film plots & story lines clipped together to form this old fashioned beautifully shot bore-fest. The production was first rate but the story and writing was just ridiculous.
To think this guy made Schindler's List, Jaws & Saving Private Ryan all master pieces. Well we can't win em' all.
This is a very forgettable Spielberg film. YUK!
