Hard not to miss the great performances of the original series whereby great actors such as Roddy Mcdowall, Kim Hunter & Maurice Evans rose above the constrictions of their ape makeup. Here, sadly, we get none of that.
Still, there's enough action to keep your attention. Woody Hartelson does a nice job as the megalomaniac leader of the ill-fated humans.
