There was so much to take in with this movie, I feel like I would have needed to watch it many times before I finally feel like I've really seen it. There was a lot I liked about "War For The Planet Of The Apes", and I have to say, it deserves the praise that it is getting.

I am a big fan of this series, and I do agree that this 3rd movie is probably the best out of the 3. The scenery was amazing in this movie, all the effects and CGI were stunning, all of the people involved did a fantastic job.

The storyline was great as well, it did get quite a bit darker than the other 2, but it does it in a way that adds a lot of depth to the storyline, and definitely sets it apart from the other 2 movies.

Woody Harrelson (Colonel) did a great job as the villain, the amount of hate this movie gives you for his character just gets you so caught up in the plot, and really gets you rooting for Caesar and the apes.

The battle scenes were done fantastically, the movie has "war" in the title, and this is 100% a movie about war, but it is done in a way that is not just blatant; it's not just human vs ape, the end.

There are a lot of side stories and other things mixed in that really help strengthen the plot, and make this movie just that much more intriguing. I also liked how this movie took a little more of a realistic approach to its story, and actually subconsciously teaches a lesson about slavery and kind of relates to the civil war.

It was a little bit of a shocking approach to me, but I thought they did it well enough to not ruin what the plot was supposed to be, and it fit really well. This movie does have a tiny bit of pacing issues though, I felt like it could have made a few more cuts to make it jsut a bit shorter, as I found there were a lot of scenes, and even characters, that really didn't add a whole lot to the story.

In the end though, "War For The Planet Of The Apes" is definitely a summer blockbuster, and a good conclusion to the Planet Of The Apes trilogy. "War For The Planet Of The Apes" is definitely worth watching.
