Overall the movie was fine. I was hoping it would have been on the same level as Dawn, which is amazing, but there seemed to be something lacking in this one. Not to mention they decided they needed comic relief and added the obnoxious and out-of-place "Bad Ape" character, which I could have done without.
He's basically Jar Jar Binks. No real need to have him in the movie other than to try and add a few yucks here and there. Otherwise, it's a good movie. Not nearly as good as Dawn, but not as bad as that 2001 Mark Wahlberg, Tim Burton abomination.
