LThis movie really let me down. I love all previous versions of this movie, until this one. They totally change the storyline, totally made the military look like a bunch of skinheads, used the flag as a symbol of hate, and used the national anthem as a symbol of oppression and torture.
This movie did everything in its power to make America, our American soldiers, our American flag, and our national anthem evil and represent oppression. The Monkees also used the black power fist symbol, using both fists instead of one.
Seriously? On the other hand, the graphics were phenomenal, and the acting was exceptional. I'm real disappointed in this obviously liberal director. I will NEVER PAY to watch another one of his movies.
I came so close to walking out and getting my money back. I wish I had now. If I had known this were so anti-American, I would've waited for it to come out on Redbox. Not cool.
