Review of War for the Planet of the Apes (2017) by Bob M — 04 Jul 2017
This movie is a masterpiece, I can't find a single flaw with this movie, I loved both Rise and Dawn, but some problems that I have with both of them was that the Human characters were never as intreating as the apes, this movie is mainly about the apes, and the human characters are great with there only being one lead, you see how humans became the heroes and slowly became villains, Cesar played by Andy Serkis should get an oscar but they won't give it to him, everyone gives amazing performances, theres lots of Holocaust imagery for the apes camp and it is kind of heart breaking, the score is amazing making your indrenaline pumping and keeps you pumped when there is quite moments which there is, it is also very unpredictable you don't know where it is going to go, but by far the most impressive part about this movie is Bad Ape played by Steve Zahn it is a comic relief character in an other wise serious film, they took a huge risk with him and it payed of because he is awesome in the movie, Woody Harrelson is good as the Colonel very evil and nasty can't wait for Glass Castle, this movie is perfect what can I say just go see the movie.
