Movies about people who can really hustle, or work the angles, or are really con men have always fascinated me and you can now include War Dogs in that group. I really felt a lot of chemistry on screen between Miles Teller and Jonah Hill which really carries the film.

The based on a true story uses the voice over narrative story telling model, and Teller is that story teller, but it also uses a distinct chapter style as well which keeps things interesting. There are some good laughs/chuckles, but it really isn't a comedy.

The rise and fall storyline is familiar, but still works pretty well. What is interesting is the love story for Teller that I don't think brings much to the story, is fabricated for the movie. That being said, in a summer of not so great movies, this one is better then most.
