Although based on a true story, this cinema summary of the real life arms dealers fails to deliver a cogent, believable story. Jonah Hill, last nominated Moneyball, is weak and his acting throughout is forced and lacks any genuine quality.

So too is Miiles Teller, so excellent in Whiplash, but again falls into the trap of the Bromance buddy film. Ana de Armas is soccer mom eye candy as Teller's wife/partner-Teller wears a wedding ring, but there is no mention of marriage at all.

Bradley Cooper appears as an evil doer arms merchant and his role is not plausible. How is it possible that he is on a federal no fly list, yet bounces around the globe still selling arms. Overall, this is not a must miss, but a don't worry if you miss it film.

A few years back David O. Russell directed Three Kings with George Clooney and it was terrific. This film was directed by Todd Phillips of Hangover fame and the result is disappointing, a rote, by the numbers Bro film.

Don't bother.
