Review of War Dogs (2016) by Omar L — 25 Aug 2016
We've seen this story before: the path to riches is paved through risky situations by horrible people. The first part of the movie has similarities to The Wolf of Wall Street, but the energy fizzles out an hour before the movie ends.
By that time, audiences are just waiting for the inevitable to happen. Jonah Hill plays a disgusting person very well, and Miles Teller makes a sympathetic liar. But there's nothing beyond what the trailers will show you, and you don't need to spend a couple of hours to tell you that stories like this don't end well for anyone.
