Review of War Dogs (2016) by K Nife C — 29 Aug 2016
"Bro-fellas" was just as bad as I thought it would be. If you think Jonah Hill is compelling, you must not be tired of his typecast yet. Miles Teller sucks too. You are guaranteed to hear "bro" and "crush it" constantly through this wannabe-Scorcese tripe.
Don't forget Teller TELLING you how he made his money and didn't see the first scene (that concludes in the third act) coming. That joke was ALMOST as blatantly literal as every classic rock song that litters the soundtrack.
"War Dogs" actually manages to outdo "Suicide Squad" in that regard. There are a multitude of problems with this film that I'm not going to list off. It's based on a true story as well, emphasis on base.
