Fiction based take on a real event, that's about as true as this film probably is but I really enjoyed this film. The teaming of Phillips, Hill and Teller is superb and you'll be hard pressed to find another film quite like this.
Lord of War covered quite similar ground but this feels like the Las Vegas take or the wolf of war street edge. The film has a very distinct dark tone that is consistent with the dark storyline, Phillips should stick to this over the comedy films he was once famous for.
I can't recommend this highly enough and Hill has branched away from the overweight comedy sidekick to a strong oscar contending actor.
