Review of War Dogs (2016) by Compi24 — 28 Aug 2016
Though it may try a bit too blatantly to be like similar films that have preceded it ("Lord Of War," "Wolf Of Wall Street," "The Big Short"), Todd Phillips' "War Dogs" still manages to use its too-good-to-be-true narrative towards its ultimate advantage.
The film is brash, infuriating, occasionally insane, and blissfully irreverent. And when coupled with the knowledge that all of this actually happened (for the most part), it makes the film that much more watchable in the end.
