War Dogs is a thoroughly entertaining movie that surprisingly has way more drama than comedy. The film also boasts great performances. Miles Teller was very good in the lead role. But Jonah Hill steals the show in his darkly funny performance.
He shines in every scene, even if his character is very unlikeable. Ana de Armas was also good, and Bradley Cooper was fine hut disposable in his role. Any one could've been Cooper's character.
The film has some comedic moments. But the film is definitely more dramatic than I thought it would be. The drama works very well, but it doesn't succeed as much as a comedy. Overall, this is a surprisingly mature outing from director Todd Phillips.
It succeeds as an entertaining film about the arms business.
