Watching War Dogs is like watching a train wreck. You know the train wreck is going to happen, but you cannot help watch the wreck out of morbid curiosity. War Dogs is a buddy story. The Packouz/Diveroli characters create a synergy which drives a character driven story about decadence and greed.

When David meets his old friend Efraim the audience knows Efraim is a bad influence. No matter what good intentions the friends have for each other, Efraim will not help but degenerate to his true self.

Everyone looks bad in War Dogs, governments, people and the arms dealers. I felt the slime just ooze out! War Dogs is directed at a fast pace, which transitions from sub story to sub story well! The friendship transitions well to the moral sub story about War Dogs' moral message that easy money with fast people comes with a high moral price hits hard! Four stars!
