WAR DOGS REVIEW.

6/10 - GOOD.

Based on a true story, its about two high school friends that create an international gun selling racket by fraud and betrayal.

Directed by Todd Phillips (The Hangover series and Due Date) and starring Jonah Hill (Wolf of Wall Street) and Miles Teller (Allegiant, Fantastic Four) as Efraim and David.

Despite the trailers perceiving this as a comedy, it's more of a political drama but it still has a couple of laughs in it. But besides the logistical education of the Iraq war there isn't really much going for the film except two dudes getting high and selling guns. The chemistry between Jonah and Miles is credible but the risks aren't as they go into more dangerous territory to make a profit. Besides Bradley Cooper's betrayal of a ominous gun seller who has plans on his own, the rest of the film just rolls along selling its drama. But I guess one of the highlights of the film would be the locations these guys travel to.

For those hoping for roll over laughing moments will be disappointed but it is interesting to watch nonetheless as we watch these chill dudes make money over the Iraq war and how they do it.
