Review of War Dance (2007) by Sheila M — 09 May 2009
Horrifying and heartwarming is how I would describe "War/Dance." This powerful documentary follows three children in war-torn northern Uganda as they seek victory and happiness at the national music and dance festival.
Music is their only escape from the violence that haunts their past as they live as refugees in their own country. These horrors of war couldn't be written. The joy of dance could not be imagined.
One must watch.
