Review of War (2007) by Santideis — 16 Dec 2017
This movie is such masterpiece. The story is carried out in an excellent way. The beginning of Anakin and Obi Wan in space in search of abstracts to Palpatine is exciting enough to maintain sight. From the beginning, we witnessed a Jedi-Sith combat, with a foreshadowing of young Skywalker becoming the Dark Lord we all love.
The extermination of the Jedi with the famous "Order 66" is one of the best scenes ever written on the Sci-Fi genre, accompanied with the music of John Williams, we witness the destruction of the Jedi, betrayed by their soldiers as they are giving their life to protect the Republic. The way Anakin is manipulated by the brilliant Chancellor Palpatine, aka Darth Sidious (Ian McDiarmid), the look in his eyes revealing his pain as he is being turned apart by the hands of the dark side, the contempt of the order towards him, his fear of losing Padmé, and the end... the final fight in Mustafar is sublime, the choreography, the dramatic music and the dialogues go hand in hand. Not to mention the transformation in Darth Vader, it's from another world. Finally, Hayden Christensen manages to redeem himself from his bad acting on Episode II giving us a full epic pre Darth Vader characterization of Anakin Skywalker...
Thanks, George Lucas.
