Turn off your brain and enjoy the ride. This is one of the most entertaining action films released this year. I went in expecting nothing but shallow cg-style action with a mediocre story. Instead I got something much better.
Everybody plays their part well. McAvoy gave a very enjoyable performance that is very reminiscent of Toby McGuire's Peter Parker, but a little more foul mouthed and cynical. I have not read the comic book so I cannot say whether the movie lives up to it or not.
For me it did the job. This one will definitely satisfy any action junkie at least before "The Dark Knight" comes out.
