Review of Wanted (2008) by Sean S — 13 Oct 2012
Although much of it feels implausible (the "curved bullets" phenom most of all), Wanted lulls you into submission with its quick edits, winning performances from McAvoy, Jolie and Freeman (who all feel very suited to their roles) and style, which it has in spades.
Timur Bekmambetov almost seems to revel in the material, never letting up with his ability to milk the most out of an action sequence. The premise involving disgruntled, disliked office worker Wesley give rise to some laughs, and also help keep it fresh.
