I understand that all film requires suspension of disbelief, except maybe documentaries (although I know quite a few which require HUGE suspension of disbelief. I'm looking at you, Morgan Spurlock...).

But this film doesn't suspend your disbelief; it expels it from university and exiles it to Siberia for intellectual deviance. And all that you get in return is some overstylized gunplay with a tired premise and preposterous twists for twist's sake. It's only gratifying feature is its fantasy (made explicit in the final monologue) about men with inadequacy complexes wanting to take revenge out on society and Newtonian physics.

James McAvoy's venture before "Wanted", "Last King of Scotland", was a brilliantly dramatic piece of cinema that earned only $17 million in the US and Canada. "Wanted" earned triple that in the opening weekend. I am not amused...
