Review of Wanderlust (2012) by Derek M — 23 Jul 2012
A very simple and formulaic film, albeit with a different twist to the rom-com genre, but with enough humor and heart for most to at least semi-enjoy it. Rudd and Aniston play an atypical couple who goes all in before losing everything and having to move to Atlanta with his horribly obnoxious brother, but along the way they find a risque commune and become entrenched in the ways of it's people.
There's a few things being said, but for the most part it's a lot of punchlines and some nudity that occasionally click and other times fall flat. If you like the cast that you've seen together a few other times, odds are you'll like them in this too.
As predictable as the whole film is, it has enough parts to keep you laughing, so it's worth the rental. Reviewed 7/10/12. Rated 3.25 out of 5.
