First of all, I am officially sick of movies about upscale New York Yuppies. There have to be other kinds of people living in Manhattan. That being said, Wanderlust is an absolutely awful and completely unfunny story about an upscale Yuppie couple from Manhattan who lose everything (boo fucking hoo) and wind up at a hippie commune.
..happens all the time. Written and directed without any wit or imagination by David Wain, Wanderlust is a barren wasteland of a formula comedy that takes talented cast members like Paul Rudd, Jennifer Aniston (a good actress who stars in yet another awful movie.
Fire your agent already!) and even Alan Alda and gives them nothing to work with. From it's uninspired gimicky story to the completely lame execution of that story, there is little or no reason to recommend watching this.
Hollywood at it's most formula awfulness.
