Review of Waltz with Bashir (2008) by Sean J — 09 Jul 2009
This is one of those movies that really makes apparent the horrors of war, how young men and women when joining up don't realize what they're signing up for. The soldier here is trying desperately to recover traumatic memories that he's lost from his days in the Lebanon war, and through interviews with fellow soldiers begins the long journey back to what really went down.
Very powerful, very depressing, and very real. Animation was also solid!
