The animation, whilst primitive and basic, is really distinctive and helps give the film a voice of its own. It's a nice style.

The content of the film is, of course, all very important. It's basically examining the futility of war and whilst it's hardly a definitive piece on the subject, it's also not one I'd turn away.

It's sort of documentary, but sort of not. The audio is mostly interviews which have then been animated over.

I should also mention that the music is very good. As is the opening scene involving a pack of dogs.

Personal enjoyment: 7/10.

Actual quality as a film: 9/10.
