Review of Waltz with Bashir (2008) by Nikhil S — 31 Jul 2009
Stunningly animated docudrama about film director Ari Folmans journey to recover his memory during his service in the Israeli Army during the war with Lebanon, and specifically the Sabra and Shatila Massacre.
Through interviews with friends, colleagues and old Army buddies he begins to piece together a disturbing and horrible past.
A vivid tale about history, memory, post traumatic stress, and the horrors of war.
Max Richters score is incredible.
