Review of Waltz with Bashir (2008) by May W — 14 Aug 2009
Our memories are very complex, and sometimes, something as horrifying and traumatic as war can inhibit you from remembering. it may take the memories and perceptions of others to be able to delve into our own minds and discover what really happened.
I like how this film explores that, and how it has more of a psychological approach rather than a political approach. and the fact that it's animated allows it to be nightmarish and surreal as it should be.
the film also has a great dialogue and a killer soundtrack.
