An animated documentary. That can be an interesting new thing. I guess you could argue that Persepolis could be an animated documentary too but that was based on a pre-existing book. This was an original story.
First of all, this has beautiful animation with a very unique look. I have to say that the story was getting a little slow in the middle, but the ending made it worth it.
