The animation is its greatest strength and biggest flaw. While the style is nice visually and works into the dreamlike themes/story, there's a distance created with the rotoscoping especially through the inexpressive faces.
The real life footage at the end seems to drive this home. Overall despite being good, a disappointment after all the hype.
